Hymn to St. Aloysius Gonzaga — Patron Saint of Youth
The youth who wealth and courts despise
Thine spotless mind above to raise;
Who every rising thought chastised
'Tis Aloysius claims our praise.
O gentle and angelic youth
Aloysius pray for us
O gentle and angelic youth,
Pray for us, Aloysius pray for us.
Angelic youth, O glorious saint,
In cradle God's name ever invoked;
In life his protection provoked
His blessing thou didst share.
The tenor of your life so bright,
So pure as Angel's purity;
A seraph from the realms of light
Dwelling on earth you seemed to be.
